In a shocking incident, Jabari Johnson, a popular TikTok personality known as '1babaskenng,' was fatally shot while live streaming on the platform in St Andrew, Jamaica. The incident occurred near Queenie's Snack Shop on Red Hills Road, where Johnson was approached by a masked individual dressed in black. The assailant opened fire at close range, striking Johnson multiple times in the head and upper body.

Johnson, who was reportedly the son of a well-known reggae artist "Jah Mason", was engaged in a live stream with another TikTok personality at the time of the attack. The perpetrator fled the scene after firing additional shots at Johnson's body. No other injuries were reported.
This marks the fourth high-profile murder of a TikTok figure in Jamaica in recent months, raising concerns about the safety of social media influencers in the region. Other influencers, including Xavier Fogah, Marlon Samuels, and Keauno Watson, have also been killed during live streams, highlighting a deeply worrying trend.
Police investigations are ongoing as the community mourns the loss of yet another young talent.
