In an extraordinary show of grassroots momentum, more than 200,000 people have signed up to Jeremy Corbyn’s newly launched political movement within a single day, eclipsing the membership totals of several long-established parties.

The initiative — currently operating under the working title “Your Party”—was unveiled in collaboration with Coventry South MP Zarah Sultana, and promises to challenge “poverty, inequality and war” while providing a bold alternative to both Labour and Reform UK.

Corbyn wrote on X:

The Labour government is here to appease Reform. We are here to defeat Reform. Join us at yourparty.uk."

At the time of writing, Your Party’s membership tally has already surpassed the reported numbers for the Conservative Party, and is fast approaching the base claimed by Reform UK—raising serious questions about voter dissatisfaction and the appetite for radical change.

While the party’s final name and policy platform remain under public consultation, the early surge in sign-ups reflects a galvanised segment of the electorate — particularly among younger voters and left-leaning activists disillusioned with Labour’s trajectory under Keir Starmer.

Political analysts note that Corbyn, once suspended by Labour over antisemitism controversies and internal divisions, retains a devoted following among anti-austerity campaigners, trade unionists, and social justice advocates.

The timing of the announcement, coinciding with mounting public frustration over war involvement, economic hardship, and immigration policy failures, appears deliberate.

A Challenge to Labour and Reform UK?

With the next general election expected in 2029, Your Party’s explosive debut presents a fresh complication for Labour strategists, who face growing criticism for shifting away from progressive policies and core labour values.

Corbyn's "Your Party" also positions itself as an ideological counterweight to Reform UK, which has gained traction by exploiting national anxieties over borders and identity.

Whether Corbyn’s movement can translate digital enthusiasm into electoral clout remains to be seen — but the numbers already suggest that the UK’s political map could be redrawn faster than anticipated.
