A public speaking competition at Woodgreen Junior School in Wednesbury descended into panic this afternoon when the school’s alarm suddenly blared a Code Red, accompanied by loud sirens that left children visibly shaken. Teachers initially attempted to reassure pupils that it was only a drill, but the atmosphere shifted sharply when the sound of a multiâvehicle collision echoed from just outside the school grounds.
According to reports by All Angles UK, four to five vehicles were involved in a pileâup near the school, prompting staff to immediately escort pupils to a designated safe area. Several children were reduced to tears as the reality of the situation became clear, despite teachers’ efforts to keep them calm.
The cause of the crash has not yet been confirmed, and no injuries have been reported at this time. This remains an ongoing developing story, with emergency services on scene and further updates expected as more details emerge.
